  Very accommodating and comfortable, truly a god send

  For the very long amount of time I had been involved with the Haven Inasmuch house there had been many ups and many downs. SOME of the employees do their best to accommodate the residents and only a few of the residents are thankful at all about the opportunity they are given.
  
  I feel that a couple of the employees are only there for money since they dont really do any work (hang outside with the residents all day, leaving their coworkers sweating inside). And then there are others who mainly work in the mornings who are always sweet and ready to help you at a moments notice. The residents there vary. Sometimes I would see people who probably were not fit to be in an environment with children, such as people with certain mental disabilities that were not being cared for which put themselves as well as everyone around them at risk. And other times I would see very cranky ungrateful women who would come in and cuss everyone out and start drama and just be very mean spirited during their entire stay. Once in a blue moon I would see someone come in and be thankful for all the free stuff the haven offers and within a week or two find a job and a home in a snap.
  
  All in all, the haven is a wonderful place to stay if you have the right mindset and aren't just out to make people feel like crap or cause drama. They provide so much more help than any other shelter I had been to provided. They also really do care for you and help you try to find a job as soon as you come in. In my opinion a homeless shelter shouldn't be a comfortable place to stay, because if it was, why get a job and a house if you could just live there for free? They keep you on your toes and dont let you get comfortable, which is a good thing. To all the cranky and mean spirited women that come to the haven, please dont take your anger about your own faults on the people at the shelter. They are doing their best with what they have, so dont expect a 5 star hotel. And please residents, just clean up after yourselves!!!

  Staff there are drama.Very disrespectful. They make fun of you.As for th wet shelter they treat us like dogs.For the 4th of July Amari an Cindy .Let the resident stay up talking low at 1 am in the morning on he 4th an 5th. Wet shelter had to stand there in the setting area until 12am. THen at 12:10 Amari let us in.did have bed ready or blankets.The residents run around outside at 10pm all the way to 11 fir the 4th of july. Amari was smoking weed with them also.There were a meeting at 11:00 wih the resident ,so that was less sleep for us.
